If you sign up for our newsletter, and decide that you no longer wish to receive it, simply use the “unsubscribe” link found at the bottom of the email.
Some information about you can be collected indirectly as well and is described below.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the website we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help facilitate spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/ . After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Contact forms
We store user input data sent through the contact forms on this website, along with meta information about the submissions, including the time stamp, the origin IP address, and the user agent (browser). Also, third party services may collect information about website visitors.
Cookies
We use cookies on our website to give you the most relevant experience by remembering your preferences and repeat visits. By clicking “Accept”, you are choosing to enable the various types of cookies deemed necessary for the functionality of our site and optimal customer experience. These cookies will be stored in your browser only with your consent. Opting out of these cookies may affect your browsing experience.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Analytics
When you use our site we may receive and store information generated by your activity such as usage data, and other data automatically collected from your browser or mobile device. This info may include your IP address, browser type and version, preferred language, geographic location if your device is configured to transmit it, operating system, URL or search terms used to enter, surf, and leave our site. Date, time and duration of site visit(s), along with pages visited and products/services viewed may also be collected.
Who we share your data with
We will not share your data with any 3 rd parties unless it is to process payments, moderate any comments left on the site, or to check for spam or bot traffic. We do use some WordPress plugins on this website that may pass data, including personal information, to external servers to process.
We only use WordPress plugins and themes that are hosted by WordPress.org. WordPress.org’s guidelines clearly prohibit tracking users without their explicit informed consent.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register for an account on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile indefinitely. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
If you would like your information to be removed from our website database, please contact us.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Payment information will be sent through our payment gateway to facilitate your purchase of our goods and services.
Dispute Resolution
If you have any complaints about our compliance with this privacy policy, please contact us first. We will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes in good faith and in a timely and respectful manner.
Please contact us either using the contact form on our website or emailing directly to earl@earlnewmanprints.com.
Future Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy as necessary to reflect changes to our business model and comply with changes to future legal and regulatory procedures. We will post these changes prominently on our website at least 30 days in advance of the effective date of the change. If the change is significant, we may also send account holders and those on our newsletter list notification of the change.
